I would like to send out my sincerest condolences to the victims' families of the recent terror attacks in Mumbai. My heart goes out to to victims and the wounded.

I happen to know very well the Taj Mahal hotel. I stayed in that hotel during my first visit to India and last May we went to the restaurant of the hotel.

My friend Sandeep Chowta told me that he had to stay inside his apartment until the end of the standoff. Our friend Kishore was dining at The Oberoi restaurant when the shooting began and fortunately escaped through the kitchen. I hope that life in Mumbai will return to as normal as possible very soon.
